Equipment of the Gait Lab

The lab is equipped with the following instruments:

  • 6 cameras stereophotogrammetric system (60-120 Hz - BTS S.r.l, Padova);   [A]

  • 2 plantar pressure plates systems (410 x 410 x 0.5 mm, 0.64 cm2 resolution, 150 Hz, Imagortesi, Piacenza);    [B]

  • 2 force plates (FP4060-10, Bertec Corporation, USA);   [C]

  • 2 electromyography systems (Pocket EMG 16 channels wired and Free EMG 8 channels wireless, BTS S.r.l, Padova);   [D]

  • 1 insole pedobarographic system (Pedar-X, 256 max sensors, 20K Hz - Novel, DE);   [E]

  • webcam (2 Microsoft LifeCam VX-7000 and 1 Logitech QuickCam Express).   [F]

Type of data acquisition

  • Kinematics: 3D kinematic data, 3D markers trajectories, 3D joint angles, segments velocity and acceleration, stride and stance length and time; video recordings; 3D Markerless motion capture.

  • Kinetics: 3D ground reaction forces and center of pressure displacement.

  • Plantar pressure: barefoot and in shoes plantar pressure distribution.

  • EMG: surface electrical muscular activations.
