Weronika Slasko (PhD student)

Weronika Slasko got her Bachelor (2016 - Development of Arduino-based EMG measurement system for real-time Human Computer Interaction) and Master (2017 – Analysis of EMG signal from lower limb muscles among healthy persons and diabetics) Degree in Biomedical Engineering at Lodz University of Technology. Her Master thesis project was conducted during Erasmus semester in the Biomov Lab at University of Padua. Currently is a PhD student at PhD school of Information Engineering, section Bioengineering, at the University of Padua (Electromyography as a tool for identifying biomarkers of diabetes and its related complications and X Fragile Syndrome).

Her research activity regards mainly the analysis of surface electromyography as a tool to evaluate muscular activity of subjects with different pathologies.

She is member of the European Society for Motion Analysis in Adult and Children (ESMAC) and of the Italian Society for Clinical Motion Analysis (SIAMOC).

She is author and co-author of abstracs published in peer reviewd journals and international conference proceedings concerning diabetic and FXS Syndrome subjects’ gait abnormalites.
